About Krishi Sakhi Convergence Program (KSCP)
- Initiative: MoU between Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Ministry of Rural Development.
- Aim: Enhance rural women’s skills, aligning with “Lakhpati Didi” Program.
- Training: Agro-ecological practices, seed banks, soil health, livestock management, natural farming.
- Phase 1: Covers 12 states including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh.
Lakhpati Didi Scheme
- Launched: 2023 by Ministry of Rural Development.
- Objective: Shift focus to entrepreneurial success for rural women.
- Criteria: SHG member, 2 years in SHG, availed Community Investment Fund (CIF).
- Features: Train 3 crore women, earn ₹1 lakh annually per household.
- Subsets: Drone Didi for 15,000 SHGs, skill training in LED bulb making, plumbing.
Women Workforce in Agriculture Sector
- Employment: 80% of rural women (NITI Aayog).
