Funding and Allocation
- Funding Mechanism:
- No separate budget allocation.
- Financed through savings from the existing fertilizer subsidy.
- Allocation Details:
- Subsidy Savings:
- States/UTs that reduce chemical fertilizer consumption in a financial year compared to the previous three years’ average will receive 50% of the saved subsidy amount.
- Grant Utilization:
- 70% of Grant: For asset creation related to technological adoption of alternative fertilizers.
- 30% of Grant: For incentivizing stakeholders, including farmers, panchayats, farmer producer organizations, and self-help groups.
