As I entered the board was being served with tea and snacks, chairman asked if I wanted something, i politely denied….
I was asked to sit by the lady member
Then chairman began with a monologue: this is a conversation, we are just checking your personality etc…then he began asking questions


Chairman:

  1. Art and Culture Connection with Industry:
    • “Tell me the connection between art, culture, and industry?”
      • Objective: To gauge your understanding of how cultural industries influence economic sectors like design, architecture, and jewelry.
      • Feedback: You rightly mentioned architecture and jewelry design. Expand by discussing creative industries, cultural tourism, and handicrafts as sectors where art and culture directly impact economic development.
  2. Music Taste and Evolution in Film:
    • “Difference between music in old times and now in movies? What are your favorite Hindi songs?”
      • Objective: Testing your perspective on the evolution of art forms like music.
      • Feedback: Explain the transition from classical-based melodies to today’s diverse genres, including digitalization and the influence of global trends. Relating your favorite Hindi songs to this evolution will make your answer personal and engaging.

Member 1:

  1. ODOP (One District One Product):
    • “What is ODOP in your district?”
      • Objective: To assess your knowledge of local development initiatives.
      • Feedback: Mention the key product from your district under the ODOP scheme and how it benefits local artisans and MSMEs. Highlight government efforts to promote these products.
  2. Supreme Court Case (Kerala vs. Centre):
    • Objective: To test your awareness of recent legal developments.
    • Feedback: Provide a brief summary of the Supreme Court ruling (possibly related to environmental or political issues) and discuss the Centre’s stand. If uncertain, gracefully acknowledge the need to revisit the case and its outcomes.

      • Feedback: Respond diplomatically. Emphasize that personal ideals should align with the communal good, but the communal welfare must be prioritized when holding public office.
