MAHATMA GANDHI NATIONAL RURAL EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEE ACT (MGNREGA)

Objectives:

• Provide 100 days of unskilled manual work annually to rural households
• Strengthen livelihood resources of the poor

1. Person-days Generated: 196.30 crore
2. Total Central Release: ₹77,491.29 crore
3. Women Participation: 57.86%
4. ST/SC Person Days: 36.91%
5. Works Completed: 61.29 lakh
6. FTO Generation within 8 days: 97.18%

Major Technological Initiatives:

1. National Mobile Monitoring Service (NMMS)

• Records attendance at worksites
• Geo-tagged photographs twice daily
• 96% attendance capture in November 2024

2. Area Officer Monitoring App

• 8.83 lakh worksites inspected in FY 2024-25
• Facilitates online field visit records
• Geo-tagged photographs of visited sites

3. GIS Integration

• GIS plans prepared for 2.65 lakh Gram Panchayats
• Yuktdhara portal developed with ISRO-NRSC
• GeoMGNREGA: 6.13 crore assets geo-tagged

4. JALDOOT App

• Measures water levels in wells
• 5.84 lakh wells monitored
• Covers 2.57 lakh villages

PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA – GRAMIN (PMAY-G)

Objective: “Housing for All” in rural areas

Current Status (as of Dec 2024):

1. Total Houses:

• Sanctioned: 3.22 crore
• Completed: 2.68 crore
• First installment released: 3.04 crore

2. 2024 Achievements:

• Houses sanctioned: 28,17,022
• First installment released: 22,97,880
• Completed: 54,582

New Initiatives:

1. Extended target: Additional 2 crore houses by 2028-29
2. Income criteria enhanced to ₹15,000 per month
3. PM-JANMAN achievement: 3,47,424 houses sanctioned, 70,905 completed

1. Awaas+ 2024 app

• Assisted surveys
• Face authentication
• Aadhaar-based e-KYC

2. AI/ML Integration

PRADHAN MANTRI GRAM SADAK YOJANA (PMGSY)

Achievements:

1. Total Coverage:

• 1,62,742 habitations connected
• 8,28,791 km road length sanctioned
• 11,955 bridges sanctioned

2. 2024 Progress:

• 242 habitations connected
• 19,606 km roads constructed
• 3,489 bridges completed
• Expenditure: ₹17,415 crore

New Developments:

1. PMGSY-IV launched (2024-25 to 2028-29)

• Target: 25,000 unconnected habitations
• Road length: 62,500 km
• Total outlay: ₹70,125 crore
